This Icarus is a stainless steel, bi-directional extractor that features rack mounting and comes with a 5lb True Dewax unit. The rack unit comes standard with a port for nitrogen assistance.
This closed-loop extractor comes with an input manifold for the solvent, allowing the user to switch from bottom flood to a top input on the material column. This ensures that all material has been saturated and rinsed of oils on the first run. Oil-bearing solvent is then dumped into the sleeved spool, and is chilled by dry ice. Once chilled, waxes and lipids will coagulate and fall out of the solution, which is then filtered and dumped into the collection base.
